That is, until another student attempts to take her own life and Lacy is hurled into a world of nightmares which she soon discovers Michael is already a part of. As they are forced to face demons, both the supernatural and the emotional kind, they also have to face the realisation that they are both beginning to feel things for each other that neither of them expected, least of all Michael. It's hard... It's too hard! Really? Just one? In that case, I think I would have to say Halfway to The Grave by Jeaniene Frost. I have a huge crush on Bones and really love Cat as a heroine. It was the first adult paranormal romance I read and it's responsible for me being completely hooked on the genre.

You know, that's hard for me to answer because there have been so many. So I'm going to be really boring and say writing the last page of Awaken. I actually had a little excited giggle to myself because I'd finished and was super excited to get my teeth into book two.

I can't pick one! If I love all things paranormal in books, it's only natural that I'd love those types of TV shows too so I'm going to cheat now and say more than one... Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and now Sleepy Hollow. And a non paranormal one: Sons of Anarchy.

All time favourite movie? Labyrinth.

Going for a drive through the mountains here where I live in Wales. Then stopping for some lunch in a little country pub in the middle of nowhere.

Again, I have more than one, so here are two: Glorious by Muse, Down by Jason Walker.

Italian. Pasta and more pasta. I love it and would eat it every single day if I could. I think I may have been Italian in a former life.

Has to be alpha, well defined and must have a good sense of humour. Bones from the Night Huntress series will do nicely thanks.

Mythology, I love Greek mythology. Everything just seems so glamorous.

Definitely paranormal romance. That's almost all I read. But I will wonder to a contemporary romance once in a while.

This quote is from Vlad in Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost. I've picked this one because I laughed so much at it.

“Much slower, I turned around to see Vlad examining his fingernails, as if his hands weren't still ablaze in the flames that had blasted the ghoul's head off moments before.
'what the hell was that?' I gasped.
'Premature inflammation,' He replied. 'Happens sometimes. Very embarrassing, I don't like to talk about it.' ”

I'm a sucker for the warriors in The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I'm a major fan girl when it comes to them. Everyone of them. They are sexy, alpha, and I love their humour. Oh, and I fancy the pants off all of them.

I would love to meet J.R. Ward and S.L. Jennings. They both sound like a riot!

My husband. For a number of reasons, the main one being he doesn't ever get phased. He performs to large numbers of people sometimes and I've never seen him get nervous. He just gets up there and does it.

My Immortal by Evanescence

Thank you so much for having me. And I hope you enjoy Awaken.

Awaken is about Michael Warden, who finds himself in extremely difficult circumstances and doesn't know why. He sets about finding answers and along the way, after he's managed to con his way into working at the local university and begins hunting down whatever may be killing the students, he meets a woman, Lacy Holloway. They become friends but things soon turn sour and Lacy finds herself in danger. She discovers things about Michael, and the world she thought she knew, that are inconceivable, and both Michael and Lacy have to fight their own feelings as well as face the inevitable.
It's a story about self discovery and belief. It's about finding love when it should be impossible and learning to deal with that as well as the supernatural creatures they encounter.

I had an idea for the character, Michael Warden, quite some time ago. He just seemed to come from nowhere when I was driving home late one night. But originally he was a she. But as my little idea developed, I realised that I wanted the character to be male so That was when Michael Warden was born, really just from some small idea that kept niggling at me. Eventually I had so many notes that I had no choice but to write Michael's story.

It's hard to explain without giving too much away but Michael has found himself in a world where supernatural creatures and otherworldly beings are of no surprise to him anymore. In fact, he hunts them down in order to hopefully gather information that will lead him to the answers he craves.

If I was in his situation, I would probably lock myself in a cupboard away somewhere safe and just hope that it all went away. It' said very scary and surreal place to be. But Michael's had to accept what's happened to him, there's no other choice, so he just gets on with it and soon discovers there's a lot more to his story than he could have ever imagined.

Michael is damaged in a way you could never imagine. He's had to deal with a major upheaval that has left him alone and unsure of his future, if he actually has one at all. He's a genuine guy who's always cared about others and can't understand why he's in the situation he is. He's lost, unsure of even himself and on meeting Lacy he begins to feel hope and realises that maybe all's not lost after all. Lacy is a quiet, homely girl. When she's not working, she's at home. That's where she feels safe, comfortable. She has had to deal with loss and has carried a lot of guilt around with her. She is maybe lacking a bit of confidence and but when she meets Michael she realises that maybe that's not exactly what she wants.

Most definitely because of Michael's current situation, and the fact that it should be impossible for Michael and Lacy to be together. The odds are severely stacked against them but in some way, they are 'meant' to be together and in the end, feelings run too strong for either of the to ignore.

For Lacy, I would pick someone like Blake Lively. But of course she'd have to have contacts because she has blue eyes and Lacy has green. And honestly, I'm having difficulty finding my perfect Michael. I guess it's because I feel he's unique. But I'll keep searching.

Yes. I'm working on that right now. I'd already started it before finishing Awaken and can't wait to continue with it. It will be released next year sometime. I'm also working on notes for a completely different series but it's in its very early stages so I'm staying silent!

L.J. Sealey was born and raised in a little Welsh town by the sea. It rains a lot, so she often has a great excuse to sit at her writing desk and while away the hours at her laptop. She still lives in N.Wales and when sheís not travelling around the country working with her husband ñ who is a professional singer ñ or singing backup vocals herself in her husbandís band, she likes to read and watch her favourite TV shows which normally includes plenty of CSI, The Vampire Diaries and endless amounts of sitcoms.
