Synopsis:

A terrible mistake haunts college student Olivia Spencer. To escape the past, she travels to the Mediterranean island of Crete, hoping for the courage to start anew.

By the sea, she meets sexy and enigmatic Kai. But there’s more to Kai than meets the eye — and nobody wants to talk about it. The locals shun him, accusing him of magic. Kai, apparently, belongs to the sea, no matter how crazy that sounds.

Kai isn’t free to be with her or live his own life, and this is how he will stay, unless Olivia can break his curse and save him — in doing so atoning for those she failed in the past.

Azure was quite a surprising book for me. It was nice to read a New Adult novel with a paranormal touch in it. And it is simply an amazing story thanks to the author, Chrystalla Thoma, that makes it easy to keep track of the story and interesting until the very end of the book.
A thing that I liked about this book is the short poetry in each chapter. I loved it so much that it was the first time I underlined something from a book! Yep, there's always a first time for everything. I loved the poetry and it makes you think a lot and appreciate more the story, trying to figure things out. Like the poetry is a secret message (paranoid much? Yep).
What makes this story different from other paranormal stories or new adult stories, is that the main character, Olivia, is just a regular girl with a broken heart in the beautiful island of Crete, trying to forget about the past and start a new beginning. And Kai... well... we cannot say he's a regular guy, 'cause, thanks to Chrystalla, I picture him pretty hot, but you wouldn't call him a paranormal being, either.
I also loved Kai's cousin. Trying to flirt with Olivia. I laugh a lot with him in the firsts chapters.
Overall the story is quite cryptic, 'cause you don't know what's going to happen exactly, and that's one of the main reasons you keep reading like your live depends on it, 'cause you want to know everything!
I can't tell much, because I don't like to give away any spoiler for respect of future readers, but, Book Addicts, this story is not only about a sweet and realistic romance story is about much more!
I had a great time reading this story, and I absolutely adore the relationship between Kai and Olivia, and that's why I highly recommended Azure. You would have a great time reading it, Book Addicts!
