Synopsis:

Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

Sweet Evil's the perfect first book for the Sweet Trilogy. It's a refreshing story about angels and demons and nephilim worth reading.

The story starts with sweet, innocent Anna whose life is as normal as any teenage life can be. That's until she meets hot, sexy and dangerous Kaidan Rowe. That's when she learns about the Nephilims, children of angels that were cast out of heaven. Each Nephilim has a urge that can be easily confused as a curse, they inherit their fathers sins and they have to work with them, corrupting people or they die by the hands of their own fathers.
Anna's been always a good girl, but meeting Kaidan might chance that. Because, after all, he's the guy that make good girls go bad.

I loved this story. Wendy Higgins story's not like any other angel story that you might say: "oh, another one." Not at all. I think that I have been waiting so long to read this series 'cause I thought it would be that: just another angel story. But I'm glad I was wrong.

The relationship between the two main characters, Kai and Anna is simply hilarious and filled with a lot of sexual tension that can reach even the reader. In this story, Anna's the perfect representation of sweet, pure and naïve and that brings a lot of funny situations and scenes into the story. I like how Kai tries to control himself without losing his very own essence. And I loved picturing Kaidan with british accent *sigh*.

I have a hard time relating to Anna in this book 'cause she's so good that makes the reader feel bad. I mean she's never tell a lie. NEVER. Can you tell me you have never ever ever ever told a lie? I can't. And that's why I felt like such a bad person. And I can't blame Kaidan for feeling what he feels about Anna's purity. I mean, I was feeling that I was unworthy of reading her point of view and being "inside her head", imagine falling for her!

As I said, this first book is all about Anna finding herself and trying to understand what's her place in all of this world. I definitely recommend to all potential fans to not give up on this book and to keep reading until the second book to have a general opinion. I've read all three books and I have a very different perspective than from the first book alone. And if I had to give stars to the whole Trilogy, it would definitely and without a doubt would be a five stars; you-have-to-read-it-now stars.
