Release Date: April 11th, 2013

Ruby and Courtney are witches. But now the witches are being haunted. The worst part? The hunter is another witch. How can you be safe then?
When Courtney is murdered, Ruby's world stops. She's her best friend and what you could call family and some bastard has taken her family, in a brutal way. Because Courtney was not only murdered, but they also stole her heart, literally.
With Courtney's murder, someone Ruby did not expect to see, arrives to town: Courtney's brother, Cooper. With a dark past that might have lead to his sister's death, Cooper needs to find the killer of his sister and kill him, because that would be justice.
However when the killer threatens Ruby to follow Courtney's destiny, they find themselves running from the reaper and death. But everything gets even messier when these two cannot fight their attraction for one another and when some events puts Cooper as a suspect, Ruby might decide what to do. Because she might not come out of this one alive.

Creepy, romantic, magical, mysterious and scary. Those would be my adjectives for this thrilling story. I usually avoid scary stories, and movies. Something related to not be able to sleep at night after that. However, I could not resist this book.
The story is not just catchy from the first page, but it keeps the mystery to an exasperation point where the only thing you want to know who is the damn killer. Sorry, but I was really scared and, not for my sleep, but for Ruby. The bad guy is creepy and plays with his victims, and with Ruby more. I knew from the first page that the killer must have been someone from that knew Ruby and Courtney.
What I think that keeps the reader interested in this wonderful and scary story is the mystery that carries the whole plot. And the fact that the killer is only targeting witches. Don't imagine witches like those who go around with a wand and that stuff or something like Charmed. This is a twenty first century witch, someone whose religion is the wicca and has some special talents above the others. Not everybody knows about the fact that the wiccans can indeed do magic, but some of them knows it. So when we learned that the killer did not just commit a random murder, but was a serial killer and that every victim was a member of a wiccan coven aka a witch, we knew that the suspects may be in the wiccan circle. Why we thought that? Because there's always bad and good and that means that in this story, black magic also exists.
But what we think that keeps the reader captivated and unable to stop reading is the epilogue. Just opening the book we are the witnesses of Courtney's murder. But not only that, we get to read it in first person! Yes, Book Addicts, we get to see Courtney's point of view. And I can assure you one thing: from that instant you want to know who has done such brutality, why, who's going to be next and what will happen next.
And I have to say, I liked what happened next. Not the other murders, no! But having Cooper in the story was really, really nice. And picturing Jensen Ackles, thanks to Liz, was something really appealing (If you know what I mean *wink*). I have to thank Liz to gave me a picture of the dream cast of her choice before reading the book, because I loved Cooper the characters more, If that was even possible.
I truly liked the sexual tension and the obvious attraction Ruby and Cooper had going on during the whole story. You just have to love them! Their romance is so natural and "real" that you believe it. They have always felt something for one another, but Cooper left. However he's now with Ruby and he plans to stay for a while... And they might be dead by the morning, So... Carpe Diem, my friends! And I'm not the only one that thought this, Courtney said something like this to Ruby in a dream. Yep, there's magic all over the pages in this story. Not only mystery and serial scary killers.
The main characters are well-built and they all have a defined personality. I like how noble, brave and good friend Ruby was and how she fought the killer just to try to avenge her best friend. I like Cooper because, well, picturing Jensen does something unimaginable to you, but because he was hot (yes, that helps, too), brave, good person and he wants to protect Ruby and kill the bastard that killed her sister, no matter what.
Like I mentioned before, this story must be a non-stop read. You cannot stop reading this book, because when the killer starts to hunt Ruby, everything starts to come out of control and you see Ruby's future pitch dark. And you can sense how everything is going to be messy and even more mysterious and scary. So you need to read it until the end, because, either way, you won't be able to sleep at night thinking what's going to happen and who's the killer.
I was really scared by the time I arrived at the end of the book and I was expecting to read that the bad guy jumps out of nowhere and takes Ruby and kills her every time I read some scary, creepy and exhilarating event in the story. Not to talk about the moment when he really takes Ruby.
If you love scary movies and thrillers, this is your book. But don't get me wrong, this book is not only about scary killers and crazy black witches, because Cooper and Ruby find love in all this mess and you wouldn't like to miss this. And If you want to catch the killer and know why they are doing killing witches, you need to read Witch Hearts
We are giving Witch Hearts five gorjuss dolls and encourage you to read this paranormal, thrilling and scary mystery. Because you're going to love it as much as we do. And remember, If you're not a witch, there's nothing you have to be afraid of...
