Before You (Sex on the Beach)
Release Date: March 4th 2014
Synopsis:
It’s all fun and games
I had a simple plan for spring break.
Sun, sand, and a hot guy. Sex on the beach, with no strings attached.
A chance to get rid of this pesky virginity once and for all.
And when I met Tyler McKenna, I thought I had it made.
Until someone gets hurt
But then girls started turning up at Key West landmarks. Girls who looked like me, but with one crucial difference: They’d all been drugged and relieved of their virginity.
The virginity I still have. The virginity Ty refuses to take.
And now I’ve begun to wonder whether there isn’t more to him than meets the eye.
Suddenly, sex on the beach doesn’t sound so good anymore...
I’m a famous country star who’s spent her life cultivating a good girl persona to avoid bad press, but I’ve reached my limit. I’m going away for spring break with my two best friends from college, and we’ve vowed to spend the vacation seeking out fun in the sun—along with some hot, no-strings-attached sex. The only thing I needed was the perfect guy, and then I met Austin Murphy. He might be totally wrong for me, but the tattooed bad boy is hard to resist. When I’m in his arms, everything just feels right.
And I’m just a guy…
I’m just a bartender who lives in Key West, stuck in an endless cycle of boredom. But then Mackenzie Forbes, America’s Sweetheart herself, comes up to me and looks at me with those bright green eyes…and everything changes. She acts like she’s just a normal girl and I’m just a normal guy, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. My past isn’t pretty, you know. I did what I had to do to survive, and she’d run if she learned the truth about my darkness. But with her, I’m finally realizing what it’s like to be alive. To laugh, live, and be happy.
All good things must come to an end...
Beyond Me (Sex on the Beach)
Release Date: March 4th 2014
Synopsis:
CAN FUN IN THE SUN TURN INTO LASTING LOVE?
Spring break in Key West with my besties was supposed to be casual fun. But I never expected to meet James Hunt. Sex and frolic? Yes! A relationship? No. But his hot blue eyes and confident manner drew me in. And when he let me see the man behind the mask, I fell hard, foolishly believing there could be a future for us. Of course I never considered our relationship might be based on lies...or that his betrayal could rock my foundation and make me question everything I believed in...
OR WILL A LIFE BUILT ON LIES RUIN EVERYTHING?
The moment I saw Quinn I knew I had to have her. She hooked me with her cool eyes and don’t touch me attitude. I had it all, money, social status, and looks. I could get any girl I wanted...until her. When my friends challenged me with a bet to get her into bed by the end of the week, I couldn’t pass it up. But sex wasn’t supposed to turn into love. She wasn’t supposed to change me, push me, and make me want more for myself. She wasn’t supposed to wreck me in all ways. And now, if I can’t turn my lies into truth, I just might lose her forever...
Hi Jennifer! I loved all three books in the Sex On The Beach series and I’m really happy that I had the chance to be part of this tour and that I could read these amazing stories.
I’m so happy to be here! The Sex n the Beach series is set up with the following concept: three best friends go to Key West on Spring break in pursuit of some sand, sun, and sex. Each book focuses on one of the girls. My heroine in Beyond Me is Quinn, the serious, hardworking do-gooder in the group. But when she meets rich, party boy James Hunt, she decides to let herself go to finally experience a no strings, hot affair. The moment James lays eyes on Quinn he wants her, but she's standoffish so his friends challenge him to a bet to get her into bed by the end of the week. He never intended to fall for her, rip away his barriers, and make him crave to change his ways. But when the week is over, and Quinn finds out about the bet, it may be too late for them to find their forever.
Oops I think I answered it above! LOL!
Hot. Heartfelt. Satisfying.
I had fun and played with the idea of what type of characters I wanted to tackle. I loved the idea of a good, hardworking girl who met the bratty, rich guy and changed him with the backdrop of a week to intensify the experience. I’m a sucker for that type of story!
No. It was actually quite easy, probably because of my fellow authors who made everything fun and creative. We respected each other’s ideas and did our best to make sure we were all writing a story that we enjoyed. We kept a google doc to keep track of two main scenes in the book where the girls all meet up, but if I had a different idea or changed my mind or something, I dropped them an email. There’s a lot of emails in my inbox from this project!!
Sure! Quinn is very likeable – she’s got an alcoholic father and she’s been taking care of things for her whole life. She’s control oriented and wants to give back, along with being a bit of a workaholic.
Of course, my favorite thing to do is pit my heroine with the opposite type of hero! James is rich, a bit spoiled, and has never had a real relationship. His parents pretty much dumped him so he’s on his own, and most of his friends just want to hang with him for his money. Quinn pushes him to be more and discover who he really is inside. He’s a very creative, passionate individual but never had the right person to believe in him.
I enjoyed writing the whole book but I do love their first meet. They have chemistry and their banter is full of heat and humor.
The scene when she discovers his art work hidden from her, and they have an intense fight, then fall into a passionate sex scene. It’s a pivotal moment where James strips down his walls and admits his feelings to her. When I was writing it, I felt the power and even had tears in my eyes!
They balance each other. He allows Quinn to explore her playful, sexy side that she’s never been able to experience. Quinn softens his edges and allows him to be more serious and dig deeper. They are a perfect complement, and their chemistry is completely off the charts smoking hot!
Hmm, one huh? I do have an extensive playlist as I do all of my books, but I’d probably say Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift. I’m just obsessed with the song. When Quinn and James met, everything changed.
Oh, that’s hard but fun to think about! I’d say Kate Mara for Quinn and Scott Speedman for James. I still love him from Felicity. He’s always that bad boy college student in my mind hahaha!
As for Mac, let’s go with Hayden Panetiere from Nashville! Cassie should be played by Amanda Seyfried.
So much! My next book is the second in my Searching For series – Searching for Perfect releases April 29th. I’m very excited about that book with my hot geek hero! And I think I may end up giving Quinn and James a second book – they deserve one and the readers have been asking so I may deliver!!
