My Not So Super Sweet Life (My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century #3)
Publisher: Entangled: Teen
Release Date: April 21st 2014
Rate: Enjoyed it (3,5 stars)

Synopsis:
Cat Crawford just wants to be normal—or at least as normal as a daughter of Hollywood royalty can be. And it looks like fate is granting her wish: she’s got an amazing boyfriend, Lucas; her fabulous cousin, Alessandra, living with her; and her dad planning his second marriage to a great future stepmom. That is, until her prodigal mother reveals on national television that she has something important to tell her daughter…causing a media frenzy.
Lucas Capelli knows his fate is to be with Cat, and he’s worked hard to win her over once and for all. Unfortunately, Lucas has his own issues to deal with, including a scandal that could take him away from the first place he’s truly belonged.
As secrets are revealed, rumors explode, and the world watches, Cat and Lucas discover it’s not fate they have to fight if they want to stay together…this time, it’s their own insecurities.
Well, and the stalkerazzi.

My Not So Super Sweet Life is a great continuation for the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series. For all those fans who where wondering what happened to Cat and Lucas after her trip to the Renaissance, this is it.

In this book, Cat has to face the modern world and her dramatic and famous mother who left her when she was five. Moreover, her mother turns Cat's life into a Big Brother show: with media following her every move.
She'll have the chance to have a relationship with her mother and meet new friends and family. However, are Caterina Angeli's intentions true?

The characters were the same as in the other books. Cat's struggling with some trust issues, but she's trying to deal with them. Despite this, she's more open and she's quickly falling in love with Lucas. She's also put under a lot of pressure by being the focus of all the media attention and in the middle of the book "liberates all the teenage hormones on full-mode", as I like to say.
Lucas, on the other hand, is simply the perfect boyfriend. Is the boy every girl wants for herself. He's madly, deeply in love with Cat, although he hasn't said anything, he's attentive, protective and will do anything for her, to make her happy and crack that shell that her mother put there by being the scandalous diva everyone knows. He's so mature that sometimes you even forget they are all sixteen.
And we also see some other characters like Cat's father and stepmother, Austin, with his incredible humor, and Alessandra, always the attentive and caring cousin. But we also get to meet new characters like Ransom (not telling who he is, sorry!) and we get to truly "meet" the real Caterina Angeli.

I have to confess that this book is a sweet, light-hearted and funny story, like the other two books in the series. I think Rachel Harris wrote a wonderful tribute to this series and to Cat and Lucas relationship, because those fans who are still yearning for Lorenzo can get a little closure by reading Cat's sweet and deep relationship with Lucas. Plus, he'll melt your hearts, girls.

With a flawless writing and with that funny and sweet touch that only Rachel Harris can bring to a story, My Not So Super Sweet Life is one of those stories that you need to read if you are a fan of the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series. And if you haven't started this series, I highly recommend it. But start from the beginning!

Author of fun & flirty escapes about sassy girls-next-door and the hot guys that make them swoon. I grew up in New Orleans, watching soap operas with my grandmother, and staying up late sneak-reading my mama's romance novels. Today, I still stay up late reading romances, only now I do so openly.

A Cajun cowgirl now living in Houston, I firmly believe life's problems can be solved with a hot, sugar-coated beignet or a thick slice of king cake, and that screaming at strangers for cheap, plastic beads is acceptable behavior in certain situations.

I homeschool my two beautiful girls and watch countless hours of Food Network and reality television with my amazing husband. I write YA, NA, and Adult romance and LOVE talking with readers!

Win (1) handmade sterling silver necklace that retailed over $130. It is an eight petal rose and a replica of the one Lucas gives Cat for Valentine's Day in the book. And 1 rare, signed paperback (US Only)
