Synopsis:

Their love burned bright, white hot, and strikingly blue around the edges.

Some thought them careless.

Some thought them crazy.

No one approved.

Taylor Barrett was looking for answers in a universe that had abandoned him.

Jude Boehler flooded her dark world with charisma and mystery, drawing everyone into her hurricane.

It was a most captivating of love affairs. They were shooting stars, meteors in the sky, colliding to create a spectacularly wonderful reckless romance, leaving them breathless and tethered.

Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable. Can these two star-crossed lovers survive the madness that is life?

“Do you want ice cream?”
She hit him with one surprise after another, and he replied, “It’s freezing out here. How about a coffee?”
“I don’t like coffee.”
“Wow, a New Yorker who doesn’t like coffee.” Taking her by the arm, he stopped her. “Are you going to tell me anything about yourself?”
“I just told you I don’t like coffee. That’s something.”
He sighed. “I’m serious, Jude.”
His emotional sigh was wearing on her and she gave him the most honest answer she could. “Not if I can get away with it.”
He looked into her blue eyes. Under a bright fluorescent light of a convenience store, he could see they were tinged in green with champagne centers. They were the most unique eyes he had ever seen. She was the most unique woman he had ever met. Now he felt bad for making her unhappy, so he broke his gaze away. “Fine. I’ll limit my questions.” And just to see her smile again, he said, “Ice cream it is.”
She jumped for joy. “I know a great place a few blocks from here.”
“Should we catch a cab?”
“No, I love the snow. It’s magical.”
Looking down the street and then back to her, he started wondering when he’d stopped seeing magic in the world. He could probably guess, but he didn’t want to think about that time.

A half hour later, his hands were frozen but he still found himself eating pistachio ice cream with Jude for dinner. He bought the treats and joined her at a booth where she was contentedly licking her rocky road. As soon as he sat down, she asked, “I think you can tell everything you need to know about a person by their favorite ice cream flavor.”

Deep (Stage Dive #4) by Kylie Scott

Deep (Stage Dive #4)
by Kylie Scott
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin
Release Date: March 31st 2015
Rate: Loved it (5 stars)

Synopsis:

Don't miss a beat with the fourth and final novel in the USA Today bestselling Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott.

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.

Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

The Stage Dive series are unique, sexy and mind-blowing stories that will rock your bookish world and Deep is definitely going to make you scream for more.

Deep is the story of Ben Nicholson, the bass player for Stage Dive, and Lizzy Rollins, sister of Anne Rollins and sister-in-law of Mal. Their love story is a difficult one. There's an eight year difference between Ben and Lizzy and Mal and Anne are making the impossible to make sure these two don't get together. Basically, because they know Ben and his history with girls and his refusal to have a serious relationship.

Deep starts different from the other three books and it was a pleasant surprise. It starts in the present, having dinner with all the Stage Dive members and their wives and girlfriends, and with Lizzie getting some news she was not prepared to receive and that will connect her with Ben even more than she realized. But when all is discovered and things seem to start going down, we get a rewind and see how it all started from the very beginning. This will give as the chance to see Mal and Anne's moments from Play through Lizzy's eyes at the same time we get to read about how her relationship with the Stage Dive bassist started. It's like having two stories in one, guys! And it's simply amazing to know what it's going to happen at least with one of those stories.

The two main characters have their issues and their own personality. The author did a wonderful job, because you can't say her characters sound repetitive or boring or that they problems are similar to the other characters from the Stage Dive series. Lizzy is a strong woman, mature for her age and with a unique sense of humor. I liked her from the very first page and you feel for her throughout the whole story. Ben, on the other side, truly put me on a roller coaster of emotions. At one time I wanted to slap him and the very next second I wanted to hug him. I ended up emotionally exhausted! He's the quite one of the group, has lived the hard live, has trust issues and is trying to avoid anything and everything that requires compromise and responsibility.

The plot is a great one. As I said before, not repetitive, well-written and keeps the reader on edge until the very end just because you need to know what's going to happen between Ben and Lizzy. The story has its emotional ups and downs and its exposed to the very perfect amount and reasonable drama. The only thing I complain about is that I would have liked to have more time with responsible Ben (the one at the very end of the book). But this might just be me, because I am that greedy for Stage Dives' novels.

I didn't believe it was possible to have a favorite over Play, because if you have read my previous reviews for the other Stage Dive books you know by now that I have a huge crush on Mal and that Play is my favorite Stage Dive. However, Ben and Lizzy's story has made me want to think about this. I loved it so much that I am willing to say that Deep and Play are my two favorite stories from the Stage Dive series. Don't get me wrong I love all the books, but these two a little bit more.

*I received this ARC in exchange of an honest review. Thank you to Michelle at St. Martin's Press for sending me a copy. *
