Die For Her (Revenants # 2.5) by Amy Plum

Die For Her (Revenants # 2.5)
Amy Plum
60 pages
Publisher: HarperCollins
Release Date: April 2nd, 2013
Rate: Loved it

Books addicts, we have read Die for Me and Until I Die, the first and second book of the Revenants series. And NOW we have the opportunity to share, one more time, the wonderful moments that have brought us the last two books of this terrific series. This marvelous new work, of the amazing author Amy Plum, is the 2.5 in the Revenants series and it’s called Die for Her.

Die for Her shows us the point of view of our most beloved character: Jules (YAY! Finally our prayers have been listened!). How Vincent and Jules meet Kate, how things happen in the Revenants circle and other big moments that had happened in the first and the second book.
When Jules, Vincent and Ambrose, as Volant, were walking in the quays, watching for suspicious paranormal activity, they notice a girl with dark hair on the edge of the cobblestone walkway and she was looking down at the water. But when they headed toward her, she turned and walked away and sat in a stone with her legs curled up to her chest and tears in her cheeks.

Days passed, and Vincent is obsessed about the mysterious girl of the quays. He was stalking her, lurking around her building, making Jules do things he does not want to do for sure (like going to see a movie he has already seen a thousand times). That is how Jules found out about the name of the intriguing girl, Kate. And suddenly, one day Vincent has the chance to meet Kate, and they fell in love with each other.

Before Kate got included into the Revenants world, Jules was starting to feel something for her and now that she gets to spend almost every day in La Maison his feelings for her are getting stronger with the pass of the days. What can he do? He is in love with his best friend’s girlfriend; the only girl Vincent has loved since the day he lost his one true love ages ago. And now that Vincent is busy trying to find a way to resist his desire to dye, he has to escort Kate everywhere.

Jules decision is easy: he has to forget Kate. But one thing is what his head is telling him and other what his heart wants and feels. He cannot betray Vincent, who is like a brother to him, but he also cannot deny his feelings for Kate. Those feelings that are true and getting stronger with time.
We were begging for more Jules moments, so guess how we felt when we heard that Amy Plum was writing a book that tell us Jules’s side of the story? We were thrilled about it; we couldn’t even speak like a real person when we were making reference about the book.

And you know what? As always, Amy Plum didn’t disappoint us with this marvelous book. We LOVED this book and we were really sad knowing how Jules truly feels about Kate and that he could not have her. One thing is that the girl is not yours because she does not love you. However, another different thing is that you cannot have the girl because she is your best friend's lover. He never had the chance to know if he could be Kate's true love!
We felt all the pain that Jules felt. We cry when he let go her hand after whispering to Kate his true feelings in the Revenants international meeting. We smiled every time Jules smiled because of Kate. We were so sad when we finished Die for Her that we could not believe what Kate did to our beloved Jules.

So if you love Jules as much as we do or you liked a lot the first two books, even if you are team Vincent, Die for Her will captivate you from page one to the end and some things will became clearer.

Until I Die (Revenants #2) by Amy Plum

Until I Die (Revenants #2)
Amy Plum
357 pages
Publisher: HarperCollins
Release Date: May 8th, 2012
Rate: Loved it

Until I Die is the second book on the amazing Revenants series. We fell in love with Die for Me, and we were expecting the same from Until I Die. And let us tell you something, we were absolutely right. Until I Die was an exciting, magnificent, stunning and breathtaking book. Until I Die has all we want in a book; it’ll make you laugh, fall in love (especially with Jules *Jules team rock*), cry and scream. And all at the same time.

In the second book of the Revenants series, Vincent promises Kate that he’ll resist his desire to die. In order to accomplish his vow, he has to do some dangerous things that will bring him a tremendous suffering.

Charles has failed saving a children’s life and exposed himself and his kindred to the numas. As a consequence, now he and his twin Charlotte have to move to other place and new revenants will take their place in JB’s (Jean-Baptiste) mansion. This replace are a couple of old and wise Revenants.

But wait…the Revenants have something gross going on. They’ll have to face an evil bigger than what they’ve seen in their lives. Someone of their closest circle will betray them, put everyone they love at risk and cause enumerable suffering.

We really love this book, even though we wish things had gone a little different, but just a little. So if you are one of those person who think “Ok, I’ve read the first one and ended happily ever after…and I don’t want to ruin my little fantasy, so I won’t read the other ones” let us tell you that if you do not read Until I Die, you will regret it. It is fantastic book that, probably will make you be on the edge of your chair all the way through it, but we can assure you that you would be satisfied with the result.

We really hope that you follow our advise, and that is why we will leave you one of our favorites quotes from Until I Die.

“Kate, I admit that we aren’t in the easiest of situations. But are you always this . . . complicated?”

I opened my mouth to say something, but Vincent shook his head, grinning. “Actually, don’t answer that. Of course you are. I wouldn’t be so totally into you if you weren’t.”

We really loved this book, we wish we can write a lot more than we have done, but we though you wouldn’t like to be spoiled, or would you? Because if that’s the case…go ahead, tell us! We would be SO happy to do it! *giggling*.

The privilege of knowing the author's website, is not only to know news about the books or know about the author. We also can find cute things like the soundtrack of the book we are looking for. That is how we found out about the soundtrack of Until I Die. And because we know there is nothing more relaxing than reading with the book's soundtrack, here is the Until I Die Playlist.

Until I Die Playlist

We have also been searching cool stuff about the Revenants Series done by addict fans like us. Since we did not write an extensive review about Until I Die to prevent from unwished spoilers, we wondered, if this series were a movie, who the actors will be. We loved this work below with Willa Holland as Kate and Jake Abel and Max Irons as Jules and Vincent.
We would loved to see Max Irons as Jules (because you all know we are team Jules, although we also love Vincent) and Jake Abel as Vincent. What do you book addicts think?
We had no doubt about Willa Holland as Kate. She is perfect. Her fine features, almost white skin and delicate figure looks like our dearest Kate. She represents everything we have imagined that Kate would look like while reading the book.
However, we have to ask. Who would you choose to be Jules? and Vincent? Jake Abel or Max Irons? If you did not like this actors to represent our Revenants, who would you choose?

Vincent Or Jules? Oh, cruel choice.

Die For Me (Revenants # 1) by Amy Plum

Die For Me (Revenants # 1)
Amy Plum
341 pages
Publisher: Harper Teen
Release Date: May 10th 2011
Rating: Loved it

Maybe you’re thinking that a book with such a fabulous cover should be as stunning in the inside as it is on the outside, if that’s the case then you’re right. Die for Me is the kind of book you can simply not stop reading and fall in love with every character, especially Jules and Vincent (Ok, maybe that’s because we are girls!).
Die for Me tells us the story about Kate, a girl who has recently lost her parents, and has to move to France with her grandparents. Having lost your parents is sad and tragic, but she’ll find a way to leave all that darkness behind and open up to love.
Kate met Vincent, a lovely young man--maybe not so young, but he sure is lovely--, and started to fall in love with him. But love is not always simple. When Kate sees Jules, the most charming character of all, (And the one we are deeply in love with) die but then sees him again at a museum, alive and kicking, she finds out what his lovely young lover is. Vincent and his friends, Jules included, are not common teenage boys. They are Revenants, a kind of walking dead, that had once died saving someone's life and are eternally forced to relived death again and again.

We really loved this book; we were so into the Kate-Vincent love story that at some point we believed we were actually dating Vincent, though we’d prefer to date Joules (put a nasty face here) over Vincent. But don’t get us wrong, this wasn’t the only reason that makes Die for Me a breathtaking, astonishing and pleasant book, and, therefore, the reason why we loved it. We enjoyed everything; the main characters, the introduction of the Revenants concept, the way Amy plum described every place making you feel like if you were there. We have to point out the fact that everything is set in Paris, France. And some much other stuff that we cannot reveal to not spoiler you, book addicts! Sorry.
Though we would have liked a little more of the charming personality of Jules, we think that Die for Me is an impressive book and spellbinding from the beginning to the end.
So if you like romance, fiction, maybe zombies--aka Revenants--, and you haven’t read this book yet, then this is a must-read book for you.

Sant Jordi's Book List

Good evening book addicts!
We have not have the pleasure to go through the crowd of Barcelona to see the Sant Jordi Book spectacle, but we are going to go in a few hours!!!
Did anyone of you get a rose or a book yet? We hope your lovers treat you well, if not just tell us. We will deal with them.

Just kidding. Hope you are enjoying this lovable day even if you are not in Catalonia celebrating Sant Jordi. If that is the case, just tell your boyfriend, girlfriend, parent, etc. that is Sant Jordi's Day and that they have to buy you either a book or a red rose (we would remark the word book)

And because of that we have made a list to help you decide if you haven not read this books yet. They are romantic young Adult (YA) stories that we love and thought about for a day like this.

For the ones who doesn't know what Sant Jordi's Day we are gonna explain in it to you. Sant Jordi's Day is kind of a Saint Valentine's Day. It is about the story of a ravenous village cursed with a beast who eats everything the village possess. At one point, the king faces the terrible situation of not having anything to give to the dragon to eat. So they do a minnie maine moo and the princess of the village is the next dragon's victim. But hey! Does this story not have a hero? Of Course. There you have Sant Jordi that happened to be around waiting for something like this. No, just kidding. Sant Jordi pursues the dragon and kills it in a field full of white roses. The roses get stained with the blood of the dragon and Sant Jordi gives a beautiful rose to the precious princess who fall for him instantly.
Brutal. We know. Poor dragon. But there you know why the rose to the girl. About the book... well, we love to buy books. Do we have any other reason??

Hope you all enjoy the books of our list that will be reviewed here really soon!
