She was broken when I met her, shattered from the death of her sister and running from love. Not to sound like an egotistical douche or anything, but I fixed her. Put her back together, filled in the cracks, and made her whole. A true fairytale in her eyes.

But now real life is getting in the way: school, jobs, and the unexpected opportunity to travel the world under a legendary photographer. This internship will open doors not even my father’s influence could. It’s something I’ve been waiting all my life for. But so is Quinn, and accepting this internship will mean leaving her.

And breaking her all over again.

We are happy to be part of this tour. We read and reviewed Stripped, the first book in this series, and enjoyed Quinn's and Torrin's story. It was something different, romantic and beautiful. But after every happy ending, there's a future waiting for everyone. And also for these two love birds.
Now, with Without You, Brooklyn Skye wrote about the future of Quinn and Torrin. It just feels more realistic. Now these two have real problems and new plans they didn't have in the first book and it's more approachable for readers, because it's something that could happen to anyone in a relationship. They both have plans and dreams for their future, but maybe they not share the same plans and dreams and that bring them apart.
About the characters, we like Torrin's personality, so we truly enjoyed this book since it's from his POV. It was something refreshing and it was nice to read what and how he felt about Quinn. And mostly, it was nice to "be" inside a male's head and what he thought about the situation he's now with Quinn and about their relationship. Although we might have missed Quinn's POV, we had a great time with Torrin and we enjoyed the change. Sorry, Quinn.
However I can't not mention that this story broke my heart. All the doubt, the situations, the dreams and the difficulties... it simply broke my heart. Despite this, I have to say, too, that this story won't be the same without this. But, not everything's bad, because I loved the ending and Torrin's decision and well... it was more than enough to make me sigh and smile. And you cannot deny that these two are meant to be together and that they share something beautiful. You just have to love them. And I can assure you that you would want to know more about them, too.
I totally recommend this book, not only because Brooklyn Skye did a wonderful work with this story, once again, or because it is a sweet, emotional and real romance story, but because I couldn't help myself with this story. I loved it and I am waiting anxiously for the next book, for sure.
Book Addicts, this story not only has two amazing characters, but a beautiful story that you would love and fall for it, without even meaning it. That's why we gave it four gorjuss dolls and totally recommend it to you.

Synopsis:

Blake Thomas knows exactly why women want to sleep with him. He’s a sexy, twenty-six-year-old bartender with nothing to lose and confidence to spare.

Then Blake meets twenty-two-year-old Lia Smart, the owner of the restaurant where he’s just been hired. Lia is different from Blake’s usual conquests. She’s beautiful, shy, and guarded, with just a hint of loneliness in her eyes. The only problem is, Lia refuses to see Blake as anything more than just a flirtatious bartender.

But everything changes when Lia’s sexy and assertive older sister, Alex, comes back into town. Alex and Lia have always had a complicated relationship, made even more complicated by the fact that they are clearly in love with the same man. Before long, Blake finds himself the pawn in a high stakes game of forbidden love and dangerous emotions, caught between two sisters who could both easily break his heart.

*Contains adult language and situations*

CAUGHT UP IN YOU is a companion novella to be enjoyed before or after reading OUT FROM UNDER YOU, or as a stand-alone story.

“So,” she said, breaking me out of my reverie. “What is your deal?”

I laughed. “My deal?”

She nodded. “Your deal.”

I couldn’t be sure but I swore I heard her voice slur slightly on the last word. My hopes instantly rose. Tipsy Lia would be a lot more willing to take clothes off than sober Lia. That I could be sure of.

“I don’t have a deal,” I insisted.

She squinted. “Oh, you so have a deal. All guys like you have a deal.”

“How many times are we going to say the word deal? Should we turn it into a drinking game? Make things interesting?” I flagged down the waitress and ordered a Jack and Coke. Lia asked for the same.

“Do you always drink Jack and Coke?” I asked.

She shrugged. “Maybe.”

I laughed. “Are you trying to be mysterious?”

Her eyes twinkled. “Maybe.”

She stayed silent and we stared each other down like two kids having a contest.

“I’m waiting,” she finally prompted.

“For me to kiss you?” I asked presumptuously, making her giggle. “Because that’s a little difficult with you all the way on the other side of the table. But I’ll give it a shot if you want.”

I cleared away the empty shot glasses between us, like I was going to sprawl myself right across this table.

“For you to tell me your deal,” she corrected.

I pounded the table with my fist. “Damn. We don’t have our drinks yet. That’s one extra sip for you.”

When she didn’t respond, I added, “Why don’t you tell me what you think my deal is.”

“Oh, I already know.”

I feigned surprise. “You do?”

She nodded. “I do.”

The waitress delivered our drinks and I took a sip of mine, prompting Lia to take an obligatory swallow of her own. She did.

I sat back. “Okay, let’s hear it.”

“You’re a bartender,” she began.

I pursed my lips in mock appreciation. “Oooh, perceptive. I like that in a woman.”
She ignored my jab and continued. “You do it because you like the attention.”

“What attention?” I asked. “You ignore me all night.”

“From other women. I see the way they look at you. You could have any girl in this room.” I leaned forward, holding her gaze. “But I’m here with you.”

Synopsis:

Andrés, why can’t it be enough that I love you? That I want to spend forever with you. Why must you expect so much more? I’m not ready for marriage and a family. I don’t know if I ever will be.

Christina, I need to know that what I’m putting into this relationship isn’t all for nothing. To me, you mean everything. But I won’t be your stepping stone. Because as much as it would kill me, if you refuse to commit to something more, I will walk away.

Will Christina ever be ready? Will Andrés stay or walk? Will their love endure or is it doomed before they even have a chance?

I make my way through the crowd toward Andrés, ignoring the “Hey, baby” from some drunk behind me. Andrés is at a table with a bunch of guys I’ve never met before. He’s probably never met them before, either, but Andrés has this magnetic personality, and he can make friends with just about anyone.

He’s sitting on the edge of his seat, waiting for the quarterback to throw the ball. He still hasn’t spotted me, so I hang back for a second. He’s got this look on his face as if all of life’s happiness hinges on this one moment.

I don’t bother looking at the television. Watching Andrés is far more enjoyable. He jumps out of his seat, pumping his fist in the air and hollering. He’s taller than most of the other men, and far more attractive. Even in late fall, he’s got beautifully tanned skin. He let his military cut grow out a little, and he’s got just the right amount of wave to his thick hair.

He’s kept his physique in prime shape, too. He’s been out of the army for almost eight months, but Andrés takes his PT seriously, jogging every morning before work and lifting weights three times a week. Sometimes, he even talks me into going jogging with him, which is totally insane because the sun isn’t even up yet, and I’m already exhausted from school, work and sex, lots and lots of sex.

I smile as he high-fives the other guys before falling back into his chair. He finally sees me as he leans over and grabs a nacho off the tray. He pops the chip in his mouth and waves me over. There are no empty chairs, which suits me just fine. I take a seat on Andrés’s thigh and plant a big kiss on his lips. He tastes like salsa and corn chips. I reach across his broad chest and steal his beer.

“Hey,” he says to me as he steals it back before I can take a sip. “Not until you eat something, mija.” He sets down the glass and pushes a styrofoam box toward me. “I ordered it to go. I didn’t think you’d come inside.” He’s got this apologetic look in his big, brown eyes, as if he’s sorry my dinner is in a box.

Jackson wouldn’t have thought to order me a meal at all. I frown as I pull away and open my box. Why would I even be thinking about Jackson? We’ve been broken up for six months.

I lick my lips when I see I’ve got a big Cobb salad with chopped egg, chunks of bleu cheese, bacon pieces, grilled chicken, and two sides of balsamic vinaigrette. Oh, yum! Damn, the boy is thoughtful. Not only does he remember my favorite salad, he also remembers I love extra dressing. Jackson wouldn’t have— Shit! Enough about Jackson.

I shake the image of my former fiancé’s pouty face out of my mind as I dig into my food.

Andrés kneads the tension from my shoulders as I eat. I shift in his lap a few times and smile to myself as I feel his growing bulge pressing against my ass.

Andrés grabs hold of my hips and growls a warning in my ear. “Stop, before I take you in the bathroom.”

I angle my head toward him and wink. “You don’t have the balls.”

He lifts a challenging eyebrow and licks his full, sensual lips. “Don’t dare me, mija. I’ll bend you over the sink.”

My jaw drops, and as I look into his smoky gaze, I realize he’s not joking. Oh-mi-god! Sex in a crowded bar bathroom. That one isn’t on my bucket list, but it sure as hell is on my bucket list now. I reach between our bodies and stroke down the length of his erection, causing him to growl and grab my wrist.

I giggle and lick my lips as he pulls my hand to his mouth and plants a tender kiss on my palm. For a moment, I forget we’re in a crowded bar. The sound of cheering and swearing is drowned out by my buzzing hormones. After the shit I went through today, I could so go for an orgasm right now. Or two. Or three. I’m so damn tempted to pull him from this chair and drag him to the bathroom myself.
