Synopsis:
Blair Walton isn't your average curvaceous tattooed children's librarian. She's also one half of bestselling romance author, Scarlet Rose. Along with her BFF Raine, she spends her nights writing books so steamy, she's afraid they would shock her Southern conservative grandmother to death . . . if she knew about them. That's why she and Raine write in secret.
On deadline for their latest book and out of ideas, Raine suggests (demands) that Blair find a guy and "do some research". Declan Bennet has all the qualifications: He's British, looks fabulous in a suit, has glorious blue eyes and gets bonus points for being an amazing single dad to his adorable son, Drake. But what starts out as a research project quickly turns into something much more. And Blair's not the only one with secrets.

This book wouldn’t have been possible without the picture of this model that I found on Pinterest. I don’t even remember what I was searching, but when I found this, I was like “I want to write her story.” I posted the picture on Twitter and the response was crazy. I had a million other stories and books that were on deadline, so I put her aside, knowing that I’d get to it. And then I had a little spurt of inspiration and that was it. There was Blair, my tattooed, curvy children’s librarian who wrote romance with her BFF. So, since she was the inspiration, I’d have to say this is my Blair. With a few more tattoos of course :)
And for Declan? The guy on my cover. I saw him and immediately was like THAT’S DECLAN. Even though he bears a resemblance to Draco Malfoy, I wouldn’t say Tom Felton (the actor who played him in the movies) looks like Declan. His face is more round than Tom’s. Ideally, the hair should be slicked back, but I imagine Blair’s been running her hands through it, or he just woke up.
And for Raine, Blair’s BFF…
I don’t know. She’s cute and blonde and bubbly. Pretty without being TOO pretty. I haven’t seen anyone that captures her essence quite yet. Still on the lookout.
For Angie, Blair and Raine’s other friend, I found another lady via Pinterest. She’s tall, has tats and is a photographer. She’s one of those women you can’t help but look at.
For Angie’s… whatever he is, the bartender, Blue, I haven’t found someone yet. But I’m on the lookout. The thing I need to find is a guy with incredibly dark eyes. Like, nearly black. I don’t have as clear a picture of him in my head, but those eyes are important.
And for Declan’s little boy, Drake? I found this cutie and thought he’d be perfect. Thank you again, Pinterest!
