Jenna Ryan is the kind of girl everyone wants for a friend. Her spunky and carefree outlook on life often leads to trouble of the best kind. She's not afraid to speak her mind, and when it comes to her friends, she's fiercely loyal and protective. When she met Eric, she knew immediately he was her forever, but why was he holding back?
Eric James is the epitome of a Greek God. He parties hard while trying to meet the expectations of his overachiever parents. When he met Jenna, sparks flew, and he knew he'd met his match.
But Eric is hiding a small secret. When Jenna finds out, these two will embark on a wild and hilarious journey to torture each other into submission.
Who will win? And who will learn the true meaning of... Patience?
Patience is a Jenna and Eric novella with approximately 30k words. It can be read as a stand alone but is much better after reading Choices or Fate.
I read a while back Choices and I didn't even know there were more books, so when I had the chance to read the novella in the Choices series I couldn't say no.
Patience is a sweet novella about Jenna and Eric, the best friends of the two main characters of the firsts book in the Choices series. If you have not read the books, you might think Patience is kind of cheesy by reading the novella as a standalone. However, if you have read Choices, you'd know about these two and about their relationship, so even though it's still cheesy, you'd love it and think that it was about time that these two had "their book".
The writing was exactly the same as in Choices, which I was already familiar with. The plot bounces from the now and then of the story, talking specially about a bet Eric did with Declan when the boys first met Quinn and Jenna. Along with the remembrance of their moments in their relationship, there are a lot of other funny situations that make this novella truly enjoyable.
I enjoyed this novella and I look forward to reading more of Syndey Lane's stories. I highly recommend Eric and Jenna's stories to all the fans of the Choices series and to those readers who like an overdose of romanticism in a novella. Their story is sweet and the characters are simply amazing, so you'll have a great time.

Jenna (Shopping with Quincy)
Victoria's Secret. Every girl's friend and every guy's dream. I'm on a mission to find something to drive Eric wild. Panties, bras, lingerie, thongs... how's a girl to choose? I don't have a lot to spend, so I've got to make it count.
"How about this one?" Quincy pops around the rack I'm staring at, holding up a sheer black negligee complete with a barely-there thong.
"Quince, I want to make him suffer, not give him a heart attack." I smile as I imagine the look on Eric's face if he saw me in that. It's almost worth buying it. "That's why we're here instead of Frederick's."
Shrugging her shoulders, my best friend looks perplexed as she continues to hold up the pitiful scrap of material. "Sheesh. I'm just trying to figure out what guys like about this stuff." She rotates it on the hanger. "I mean, why pay so much when they'll just rip it off anyway?"
I almost swallow my tongue as I start coughing. "Rip it off? What kind of movies have you been watching, Quince?"
When her face grows red and she looks anywhere but me, my amusement turns to shock. She tries to hide behind the rack, but I'm not having it. "Oh, hell no, girlfriend."
