We have received an ecopy of The Angry Woman Suite in exchange for an honest review. We are part of the official tour of The Angry Woman Suite run by Novel Publicity & Co.

The Angry Woman Suite, written by Lee Fullbright, is the kind of book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The mystery and the ugly truth that lays behind the characters words are so spellbinding.

The Angry Woman Suite is narrated by 3 different characters, each one of them with a defined and well developed personality and background. The fact that this book was told from three different points of views is a WOW for me. I love books that are written in first person, but sometimes something’s missing, you don’t have the whole picture, just the one that portraits the main character. But not here! Here you have different sides. Each character is telling his/her story, showing their hidden demons, and if you put them all together you’ll have the whole picture.
But what I liked is not just the 3 POVs, but how the author managed to write three different stories connected to each other and be able to do it without letting the readers lose track of the storyline! I really admired this, and this was one of the reasons that made me like The Angry Woman Suite so much, I enjoyed every side of the story.

Another think I would like to highlight about the author, besides her great ability/talent to write 3 POVs with success, is her writing. Her writing is so descriptive but compelling and spellbinding. By now you may know that I’m that kind of person that likes interaction between characters and not self-talking characters (You know…the ones that tell the story without involving anyone else, just explaining). But I will have to re-read some books, because I actually loved the way The Angry Woman Suite was written. I think that if there had been more dialogues in this book, I wouldn’t have liked as I did.
Clarification: There were a few dialogues.

As for the plot, I don’t want to get too much into it, because I know how I am, and I know I will be giving away some big information and will ruin the fun. But let me tell you guys, the plot is intriguing; you’ll want to know more, to keep reading. You will be sucked into the story.
You know I’m domed when it comes to love, and it’s even worse when there is tragedy involved, so that’s another thing I liked about the plot, it has the perfect mix of mystery/tragedy and love. People say that behind the darkness there is always light, and for me, love is the light! The spark I needed for The Angry Woman Suite. That ray of light that made me like The Angry Woman Suite even more.

Now, I know you have been waiting for this, the characters. This time, I’m making an exception, I won’t tell you about them, because telling you about their personalities and what I liked most of each one of them feels like giving away a big and important part of the book. But just so you know, each character was exquisite, well developed and you will have an explosion of feelings because they all seem real and alive.

I just have one little complain, is that there were a lot of names, besides the main characters. Sometimes I had to look for the name of “X” character on the very first page, which was tiring (it would have been the same if it was a physical copy) you know, come back to page one, and then go back to where you left, and wait! You have forgotten to put a marker! (Now that happened more than once).
Now that I have noted that, just at the beginning you have a list of characters and the relationship of them with the main characters, which I really appreciated when I didn’t remember some names, but as I have said, I was tired and I’m a disaster. When I read eBooks I always forgot to put a marker, so you understand why it was annoying to me.

Anyway, at risk of boring you, I will say my goodbyes and, I’ll test my luck one more time, I will recommend you to read The Angry Woman Suite. If you like some good twisted book, emphasis in good, then this is a must read for you.

  1. Great review! I also like books written in the first person from multiple perspectives ("The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver comes to mind), since, as you said, it gives a much fuller picture of the story.

  4. Very true- Multiple POV's add so much to the story when done right! I had to read this book twice because of the detail and various names lol. It is really great and very sad!

    1. I had to go back to the begining a couple of times because I didn't remember a character, and re-read some parts because I had missed something, but it was fun at the end :)
And yes, it was painful sometimes, because the author touch a really sensitive topic such as child abuse, but it was indeed a great read!

Thank you for your comment and for stopping by our blog ^^
