Definitely, Holly S. Roberts' book, Play, is a sexy and hot romance story that reminded us why we love to read New Adult.
I really liked the characters. They meet at a football player's party. Killian is the Star Quarterback of the team and Rebecca would never be to that party if it wasn't for her sister. And this two were meant to be together from the start.
Killian McGregor was the perfect definition of hot mess. He's bossy, damn sexy and wants Rebecca. He also has its own way of getting everything he wants and also has a bad side that makes him a jackass and you want to punch him in the face. However, you still love him, because there are more to that.
Despite, this tiny little thing, he's a gentleman, too, and like every good, nice boy, he "saves" Rebecca in a party.
Rebecca Cavanaugh starts as a nerdy girl full of insecurities and fears and ends up in love with big bad boy Killian McGregor that makes her be more outgoing and more secure with herself. But he also makes Rebecca feel wanted and important. At first, Rebecca lets Killian do whatever he wants, but then she stands up for herself and brings some attitude to the relationship (about time). I liked that.
However, the very best character in this story is Killian's brother. I really, really liked him and loved to read his scenes. I also liked his relationship with Rebecca and how good she is with him.
And the funniest part of the story, for me, was Killian trying to win Rebecca back with the "help" of his brother. I couldn't stop laughing.
Overall this story is not something new, but it's definitely something you would really enjoy reading. To sum up everything, Rebecca goes to the party, she is trouble, Mr. McGregor saves her. He cannot stop thinking about her and her long, long legs and asks her out. They fell for each other, have some trouble, and Rebecca helps Killian heal. Love them.
With an ending that every love story should have, this book is the perfect read if you are looking for a little bit of sexy romance. It's such an enjoyable read, that you would want to know everything about these two, and, most important, how their relationship ends up. That's why we are giving this book four of our gorjuss dolls.

I dissolved into the seat of his amazing car. A low moan escaped my lips but Killian just showed his dimples and buckled me in. I wondered what he’d do if I pulled him tightly against me and sniffed… for an hour or two.
He opened his door and folded into the seat with absolute grace regardless of his size.
“Ah hell,” he muttered and turned my way. Unlatching my seatbelt, he pulled me in for the most mouthwatering kiss I’d ever had.
His lips, soft but firm, molded to mine. His tongue ran over my teeth, tasted, dipped deeper, and then plunged. He effortlessly slid out the elastic holding my hair before spreading his fingers to either side of my scalp. The kiss intensified and Killian made promises for the night ahead with his lips.
He tasted so damn good.
When he pulled back, I actually whimpered and smiled at the low rumbling growl that came from Killian’s throat. He took my lower lip between his teeth and pulled slightly before letting go. He put distance between us leaving me bereft.
“We’ll eat at my house.” He kissed my forehead, reached over, grabbed the seatbelt, and fastened me in again. My hands went to my hair as I looked around for the hair tie.
“Leave it.”
I stopped my search but couldn’t help running my fingers through the mussed tangles. Killian’s hand captured mine. “No.” He released my fingers just as fast as he verbalized the one word.
I wasn’t a pushover, didn’t have much experience with guys, but I had some. I should have argued, straightened my hair anyway, or even voiced some sort of displeasure. An electrically charged pulse shot straight to the junction of my thighs, and there I went and tried to stain his car’s upholstery.

I kept my mouth shut.

I’m a writer but a reading addict first, middle, and last. I hope you give Play a chance and enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing about Rebecca and Killian.

Hi Holly we are really happy to be part of this tour and to host an interview with you. Thank you so much for everything.

Thank you for having me!

Play is a steamy romance about football’s bad boy Killain MacGregor and Rebecca Cavanaugh, a college runner. I love imperfect people, strong women who need to come into their own, and alpha men. “Play” gives you all three.

My husband is a football nut. He coaches at the high school level and plays in several NFL fantasy leagues each year. He is not a good loser. After one particularly bad loss, I said I was going to write a book about someone just like him. Killain was born.

Rebecca is a sweetheart with a body image problem because she’s been taller than boys/men for most of her life. She also desires love and falls a little too fast for the wrong men until she meets Killian. He on the other hand is intense, controlling, and hides a heart of gold quite well. The two together are combustible.

Adrianne Palicki as Rebecca for that sweet girl next-door look and her height. I want a tall man who makes Rebecca feel small for the first time in her life so I choose Liam Hemsworth. He’s a couple of years shy of twenty-five but I think he could carry the roll of Killian.
