Players gotta play.
Hate is like a poison. It contaminates everything.
So does doubt.
Even though I deny what I overheard, even though I insist it isn’t true, the seed of doubt has been planted. I can’t help but be tormented with the endless what-if’s that have taken over our lives.
Romeo and I were happy in love. The future stretched before us brighter than any star in the darkest sky. Now everything is broken. Literally broken. Romeo’s entire career is at stake, my entire future is threatened… and my past?
It’s coming back to haunt me.
To haunt us.
Romeo says we’re in this together and right now the only sure thing is us. But how far can a love so new be pushed? The lengths we will have to go to save each other puts everything at risk.
Romeo is a #player but how much of the game can one person play?
I loved #Player! Is the perfect conclusion for a nerdy and amazing series that I think all readers who likes to read the New Adult genre will definitely love. The sad part of all this is that we won't have any more Romeo and Rimmel. But I was happy to know that more nerdy books were coming out way!
This last book, #Player, is the author's opportunity to tie everything together, to let us readers enjoy of the couple we have come to love so much and to understand Rimmel's past. While the first book was about the nerd and the jock falling in love, the second one about the consequences of hate and craziness all together, this third book is the perfect conclusion to Romeo and Rimmel's love story.
I'm happy to see that Rimmel gets to know the truth about her past and fight her demons. Even though she still has her own personality: sweet, caring, kind, Romeo has helped her get out of her shell, accept herself and, the most important, love herself for how she is. At first I was skeptical about their relationship, but Romeo has proved himself to be a perfect fictional book boyfriend.
To sum up a bit and not give away any spoilers for those of you who have not read #Player or who have not given a chance yet to the series, let's just say that this time it was more about investing time in getting to come to terms with everything and finally giving the characters the happy ending they deserve. And being Romeo and Rimmel couldn't go down any way different than what Cambria has written. I feel honored to have had the chance to read these books before they release and I highly recommend the series to everyone who likes College Romances.
Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series, the new adult Death Escorts series, and the new adult Take it Off series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair. She currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and children (both human and furry) where she is plotting her next book.
