Synopsis:
The Mausoleum Road Affair has been likened to a more erotic BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY.
Frustrated mother of two, Brianne Hunter, escapes her bland life in rural Fennelton by embarking on a weekend away shopping with her best friend. On the drive to her friend Darlene’s estate, Brianne crashes her Jeep off the Mausoleum Road, and makes her way, bleeding and injured, to a stone ranch seeking help. There she encounters Dr. Robert Moss, whose spouse is in Europe spending their money. Thus begins an immediate attraction, and a wildly sensual coupling that essentially changes them both.
When the weekend tryst ends, Brianne returns home to the demands of her predictable life. Shortly thereafter, life-changing losses occur for both Brianne and Dr. Moss. Then comes the day when Dr. Moss pays Brianne a house call, attempting to reignite their union; however, a revelation he delivers may be more than Brianne can accept. Yet Brianne cannot deny her heart’s passion, and returns to the ranch to deliver a disclosure of her own. In the end, the pair must decide if they will follow their passionate fate together or not.

Robert gripped the tray. Brianne folded
back the sheets, moved to the far side of the bed, and slipped her legs over
its edge. Like a glorious starlet from the early days of grainy black and white
cinema films, Brianne rose up with an elegance and grace that pronounced, I am
a lady, a goddess, and today I’ll be your lover. She walked around the foot of
the bed, moving between it and the statue on the dresser. She could feel
Robert’s eyes trailing her naked body, carving their way across all of her
smooth lines as a chef with a knife before a steaming, crisp-skinned turkey.
Brianne’s heart pounded.
Now I’ll show him the woman I still am
inside, she thought. I’m here to be his lover. I’m old enough to know what I
want, and still young enough to properly show him.
She walked toward the door, aware that her
derrière swayed behind her in his view. She turned and faced him, then, her
nude body exposed for him to see, examine, and ponder. She raised her arms up,
bent her elbows and locked her fingers behind her head, raising her breasts a
spot higher in the process. Robert took in her image, and settled his gaze on
the full triangular patch of black, curly hairs nestled between her legs like a
warm, soft burrow.
“Do you like what you see?” she asked.
“Entirely.”
