Synopsis:
Have you ever thought of taking a vacation alone? I mean step on a plane, check into your hotel, and lie on the beach completely and utterly alone. No? Me either, but then right before senior spring break I got dumped.
Something about break ups makes you do things you didn’t want to do, and try things you didn’t know you were capable of.
That’s how I ended up at the Palm Palace.
That’s how I met Grey.
That’s how my spring break turned into the most unforgettable week of my life.
Kissing Eden is one of those New Adult reads that you love from the very first page. It was funny, sexy, hot and definitely the "Spring Break theme" I was looking for.
Eden was supposed to have a romantic Spring Break with her boyfriend. However, that's until her so-called boyfriend ends up their relationship saying they should see other people. What a jerk! So with all girl power-on, Eden decides to have her Spring Break trip after all. She paid for it and she deserves some relaxing time with a margarita in one of those dreamy beaches, right?
Well, her dreamed trip turns out to be a completely disaster when her now ex-boyfriend steals her bedroom at the hotel to be with another girl and there's no other place left. Not in that hotel, not in other hotel. Desperate, Eden ends up in a motel that has seen better days. That's where she meets Grey. And their lives change forever.
I loved the main character. Eden has this determination and radiates so much girl power that it makes you believe that everything's possible. Even though her situation goes from bad to worse, she keeps getting up and repeating her mantra. I also liked her kind and disinterested side.
Grey's supposed to be one of those hot nerds that can melt any girls heart and make female readers swoon over him. It's true that from time to time, he was kind of a jerk, but he makes up for it.
However, what makes this story so worth reading it, is their relationship. It's one of those relationships that starts with a little bit of dislike for each other, but there's an undeniable sexual tension between them from the very start. They both have problems, but they could heal each other and make each other better.
Throughout the story their relationship improves and you start seeing an intense spark and attraction that you know can lead to more. And you end up loving every single moment after that.
T. A. Foster did a wonderful book, without losing that "Spring Break" touch and giving us a little bit of romance to swoon our hearts. I loved the characters and their relationship and their story is definitely worth reading it.
T.A. Foster is a Southern girl whose heart and spirit are connected to the beach. She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband, two children and two canine kiddos.
Her long love affair with books started at an early age, and as soon as she was able, she transformed imaginative stories into words on paper.
T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you can find her reading, writing or planning her next beach trip.
